HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Centenary University women's soccer team faced a tough test against a strong NJAC opponent Wednesday afternoon, falling to Stockton University, 7-0, at J.E. Reeves Jr. Field.
Stockton established control early, scoring six times over the opening 22 minutes to take a 6-0 advantage. Naveah O'Keefe made five saves during the opening half, while Nia Hebron generated Centenary's best opportunity with a shot on goal in the 33rd minute.
The Cyclones settled in after the break and turned in a much stronger defensive second half. Centenary limited Stockton to just one shot over the final 45 minutes, with the Ospreys' lone second-half attempt resulting in a goal off a corner kick in the 64th minute.
Offensively, Jocelyn Rodriguez and Hebron each put a shot on goal, while Elizabeth Fogarty added an attempt. O'Keefe finished the afternoon with five saves.
The loss moves Centenary to 0-6 on the season.
