The Centenary University women's soccer team exploded offensively on Saturday afternoon, rolling to a 7-0 victory over Lehman College.
The Cyclones (3-4-1) dominated from the opening whistle, striking four times in the first half. Elizabeth Fogarty got things started with goals in the 17th and 21st minutes to put Centenary in control. Just two minutes later, her twin sister Ashley Fogarty found the back of the net, and Liliana Flores capped the first-half surge with a tally in the 30th minute.
Centenary kept up the pressure in the second half, adding three more goals to seal the result. Alissandra Auletta scored her first of the season in the 63rd minute, followed by Jesicaa Smith in the 72nd. Amy Kim closed out the scoring with an 84th-minute penalty kick for her first career goal.
Goalkeeper Emma Ferfacki earned the shutout with two saves, as the Cyclones outshot Lehman 22–4 and held a 17–2 advantage in shots on goal.
The Cyclones return home Wednesday, Oct. 1, to host John Jay in non-conference action at J.E. Reeves Jr. Field. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
