Centenary Athletics Hall of Fame Nominations

The Centenary University Athletics Hall of Fame is looking for nominations for the class of 25'. 
CENTENARY UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME CRITERIA
Purpose
 
To help preserve our athletic history and promote pride in Centenary University Athletics. The Cyclone Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 2010. The Athletic Hall of Fame is organized for the purpose of recognizing the rich tradition of the excellence of Centenary. It serves as a means of honoring and recognizing the athletes, teams, coaches, and other individuals (Service Award) who made significant contributions to the Cyclone tradition of excellence. The Athletic Hall of Fame honors the contributions and accomplishments of these individuals and teams who are worthy of recognition as examples for others to emulate. Induction ceremonies are held annually.
 
Nominations
 
The Hall of Fame Committee shall maintain a form upon which nominations will be made. The form must be completed, and the qualifications of the proposed inductee must be clearly set forth in the form. Nominations may be made by anyone, however unsigned/anonymous nominations will not be accepted. Nominations for consideration may be made by the Hall of Fame Committee or by public nominations. Application for nominations can be accessed on the Centenary University Athletic website throughout the year. Nominations must be received by the specified deadline to be considered for the current induction class. The Hall of Fame Committee shall have the discretion to narrow the field of nominees.
Nomination forms will be kept and reviewed annually if candidate is not inducted into the current class.

IV.Eligibility/Criteria
 

Athletes, coaches, teams, and other individuals, living or deceased, shall be eligible for induction subject to the criteria below. All nominees must represent the Centenary University tradition of excellence in athletics.

Athletes:
 
Eligible 10 years after graduating as a Cyclone from Centenary University. The Hall of Fame Committee will have discretion in other unique, special circumstances. Must not have left the University for any reason which would be detrimental to the image of Centenary University. Athletic ability, sportsmanship, character, leadership, contribution to team and the games he/she participated in. Must have participated as a league champion (team or individual), been recognized Nationally, Regionally or in conference (past or present) or a recognized press service or equivalent. Achievements should be on record and able to be verified.  Documentation of achievements might not exist, especially for older nominees. This should be taken into consideration.
 
Coaches:
Must have been a coach of a recognized NCAA sport. The nominee must be inactive. Must not have left the University for any reason which would be detrimental to the image of Centenary University. Preferably coached the same sport for more than one full season and must have demonstrated an unusually high degree of success relative to the same. Must have coached in a program that was successful. Success is not necessarily measured by wins and losses, but by the degree of respect created by the coach as deemed by the athletes and colleagues who were involved in the coach's career.
 
Teams:

Championship teams having attained record status and accomplishments.
 
Service Award (any other individual)
 
An individual who worked for, volunteered for, or contributed and demonstrated a strong and/or unique interest to promote and/or support Centenary University Athletics. This award does not count towards the maximum of five inductees per year
