Hackettstown NJ - The Centenary University women's soccer team dropped their second conference matchup of the season, falling 5-1 to Neumann University on Wednesday afternoon.
Despite the final scoreline, the Cyclones battled throughout and found the back of the net in the second half thanks to
Liliana Flores, who converted a penalty kick for Centenary's lone goal. The finish marked an important moment of momentum for the Cyclones, but it wasn't enough to fuel a full comeback against a strong Neumann side.
Neumann's attack proved too much to handle, capitalizing on their opportunities early and maintaining control for most of the match. Centenary showed resilience in the closing minutes, continuing to press forward in search of a second goal.
The Cyclones will look to bounce back quickly as they hit the road this Saturday to face Marywood University in another key conference showdown.
