HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Centenary University Women's Soccer team fell 6-1 to Marywood University in conference action on Saturday afternoon.
The Cyclones found themselves facing a strong offensive effort from Marywood, who capitalized on several scoring chances throughout the match. Despite the deficit, Centenary continued to battle and broke through in the 42nd minute when
Jenna Magrino found the back of the net off a well-placed assist from
Liliana Flores, giving the Cyclones some momentum heading into halftime.
Centenary's effort remained strong in the second half, but Marywood maintained control to secure the win.
The Cyclones will look to regroup on Tuesday when they travel to face Purchase College in non-conference play before returning to conference action this weekend at Saint Elizabeth University.
