Dominating On the Mound
Freshman pitcher, Jacob Hirner started the game on the bump for the Cyclones. In his outing, he allowed just two hits and ended his outing with zero earned runs. Matthew Gibbons and Yonelvi Puello would split the last two innings allowing zero to cross the plate.
Swingin' Clones
The team would thrive at the plate as each starter recorded a hit during the game. Marty Lucibello, Paul Links and Matt Perine would each drive in a pair of runs for the Cyclones while also having a multi-hit game.
