Tysons, VA: Baseball traveled to Marymount University over the weekend to break ground at Capital One Park.
Offensive Standouts
Grad Student Christopher Gass was unstoppable at the plate going 7 for 11 over the weekend with two runs batted in. Sophomore's Jake Keenan and Nick Payne recorded a hit in each game of the series as Keenan extends his hitting streak to four games, and Payne is now on a three game hit streak.Â
Dynamic Duo on The Mound
Zack Gehman and Louie Vassallo continue to display dominance on the mound for the Cyclones. Gehman tossed four innings allowing just one run to cross and just three hits. Vassallo would follow Gehman as Louie allowed just one run and two base hits in his two innings of work, earning the win for the game.
As A Team
Throughout the series, the Cyclones recorded five stolen bags, twenty-four base hits, six extra base hits and walked eleven times.Â
