Baseball Loses Series to Gwynedd Mercy

Hackettstown, NJ: Baseball dropped two of three against Gwynedd Mercy this past weekend. The Clones combined for 20 runs in the three games. 
 
Hot Bats
The bats were hot in Game One as the Clones scored 17 runs on 21 hits. Paul Links led the team with 5. Cole Heitzman and Brandon Smith both had 3. Nicholas Gattuso, Matt Perine, Nick Payne, and Jake Keenan all contributed 2 hits. 
 
In Games Two and Three, the Cyclones combined for 9 hits. Three, the Cyclones combined for 9 hits. Gattuso and Marty Lucibello led the way with 3 hits each. 
  
On the Hill
In Game 1, Matt Oehrlein picked up his second win of the season. He tossed 5 innings giving up 3 hits and allowing 1 earned run. Despite the loss in Game 2, Zach Gehman struck out 8 over 6.2 innings pitched. Game 3, Louie Vassallo struck out 6 in 6.1IP. 
 
Luke's Helping Hand
 During both games on Saturday, Baseball partnered up with Luke's Helping Hand to bring awareness to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. They hosted vendors, a food truck and lawn games.
