Union, NJ: Cyclones fall to the Kean University Cougars by a score of 14-5 on the road.
Hot Start
Centenary experienced a rough loss today on the road vs. Kean University. The Cyclones got out to a hot start putting up three runs in the first inning, with an RBI single from Chris Gass and a two-run single from Brandon Smith. Late in the game, freshman Blake Heitzman, toughed out a great at-bat driving in a pair of innings after a single down the right field line.
Going into the bottom of the sixth inning, the Cyclones found themselves down a run (4-3). Unfortunately, Kean would find a spark offensively and would capitalize on miscues from the defense and pitching staff. The Cougars would go on to score multiple runs in each of their last three innings.
The Cyclones will look to get back in the win column this Friday against John Jay College at 3:30 PM.
