Men's Lacrosse Falls at Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa. – The Centenary University men's lacrosse battled but ultimately fell to Marywood University in Atlantic East Conference play on Saturday afternoon.

The Pacers opened up a 13-0 lead at the half and eventually claimed a 28-2 victory.

Matt Manna and Dalton Metzger each had four goals and two assists to lead the Pacers. Nick Ericson won 16 faceoffs and scooped up 11 ground balls in the contest.

Brandon Verderber finished with a goal and an assist while Sean Menjivar had the other goal for the Cyclones. AJ Puerto won 10 faceoffs and scooped up four ground balls while Jason Toledo had two caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Chris Tobin started and made five saves for the Pacers. Travis Austin made a season-high 12 saves for the Cyclones.

Centenary is back in action on Thursday, April 14 when it hosts Marymount at 4 p.m.
