IMMACULATA, Pa. –
AJ Puerto had a career-high 18 faceoff wins to lead the Centenary University men's lacrosse team in an Atlantic East loss at Immaculata on Wednesday night.
Immaculata jumped out to a 10-1 lead after one period of play and eventually claimed the 23-2 win.
Bailey Manion led the Mighty Macs with five goals and six assists for 11 points while
David Azzarano added three goals and four assists for seven points.
Jimmy Cooper had three caused turnovers.
Jason Toledo and
Ronan Bova each had a goal for the Cyclones.
Brandon Verderber picked up the helper on each of the Centenary goals. Puerto added eight ground balls to go with his 18 faceoff wins.
Christopher Festa led the defensive efforts with two caused turnovers and five ground balls.
Cole Metzger made 12 saves to earn the win in goal for Immaculata.
Zeke Giorlando started the game for the Cyclones and made three saves in the first period.
Travis Austin tallied six saves in relief action.
