Three Players Scored Two Goals to Lead Men's Lacrosse at Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Three different players scored two goals each to lead the Centenary University men's lacrosse team in a loss at Rosemont College on Saturday afternoon.

The Ravens jumped out to a 7-1 lead after one period and secured a 25-8 victory.

Brandon Verderber and Yousef Fahmi each scored two first half goals for the Cyclones. Each player was credited with a man-up goal for Centenary.

Rosemont led 14-4 at the half.

Ronan Bova scored two of the first three goals in the third period and made it a 15-6 game with 12:59 to go in the period.

Jason Toledo and Sean Menjivar sandwiched a pair of goals around the end of the third and beginning of the fourth period for the Cyclones.

Rosemont eventually claimed the 25-8 win.

Kenny Wiggins made nine saves to earn the win in goal for Rosemont. Travis Austin made 11 big stops for the Cyclones in the loss.

Brandon Krause finished with six goals and two assists for eight points to lead Rosemont. Navarro Blakes finished with three goals and eight assists for 11 points.

Bova finished with two goals and one assist for three points as he also added three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Fahami and Verderber each added two goals while AJ Puerto won 10 faceoffs.

Centenary is back in action on Saturday, Mar. 26 when it hosts Keystone at 3 p.m.
