Women's Basketball Wins 3rd Straight at Keystone

LA PLUME, PA - Centenary Women's Basketball traveled to Keystone College on Friday afternoon, defeating the Giants, 48-41. This is the third straight victory for the Clones and sixth in their last eight games. The win improves their overall record to 8-4, while the loss drops Keystone to 4-6. 

Right Where She Left Off
Transfer from Raritan Valley, Junior Brie Opdyke has been exceptional all year for the Cyclones. Opdyke again led the way for her team, finishing the day with a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. 

Controlling the Boards
The Cyclones finished with a +19 rebounding advantage and dominated the offensive boards, 23-to-10. Alongside Opdyke, Senior Carmen Escano pulled down 10 boards and sophomore Kaylie Elsbree and freshman Elainy Pichardo both recorded eight apiece. 

Full Squad Ready
It was a full team effort for Centenary as 10 different scorers got in on the action in the victory.

Next on the Floor
The Cyclones start Atlantic East Conference play on Wednesday, January 4 at 6pm when they travel to Scranton, PA to take on Marywood University.
