SCRANTON, P.A.- Cyclones women's basketball traveled to Marywood University on Wednesday afternoon to open Atlantic East Conference play, falling to the Pacers, 74-62. With the loss, Centenary falls to 8-4 (0-1) on the season while Marywood improves to 10-2 (1-0).

Brie Opdyke and Sophomore
Kaylie Elsbree led the offense for Centenary. Opdyke had 14 points and two assists, going 5-for-6 from the line, and Elsbree finished with 13 points, nine of which came from beyond the arc.
Swiper no Swiping
The defense for centenary produced 19 turnovers and nine steals on the day. Four different Cyclones finished with two steals including the afformentioned Elsbree and Opdyke along with freshman
Kayla Sampong and senior
Carmen Escano.
Second Quarter Difference
The second quarter of the game ended up being the difference in the contest as Marywood outscored Centenary 22-7. Outside of the second frame, the Cyclones outscored their opponent 55-52.
