HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – A big second half allowed Marywood University to break open a close game and secure a win over the Centenary University women's soccer team in the Atlantic East Conference opener for both squads on Wednesday.
The Pacers took a 2-0 lead at the break but scored five more times in the second 45 minutes to secure the 7-0 victory.
Riley Mulherin scored a pair of second half tallies for the visitors while
Josephine Source contributed a goal and an assist.
Blaise Vallorosi led Centenary with three shots and put two of those on goal.
Rebekah Baker started in goal for Marywood and made two saves before giving way to
Mila Elash, who was not forced to make a stop closing out the contest.
Chelsea Estacio started and recorded seven saves for the Cyclones.
Emma Ferfecki saw time in relief for the Cyclones and made two stops.
Centenary is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 8 when it travels to Marymount for a 1 p.m. contest.
