HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. –
Liliana Flores and
Kylie Barber each scored two goals to power the Centenary University women's soccer team in a 7-0 win over Gwynedd Mercy University on Wednesday afternoon.
The Cyclones picked up their first Atlantic East win of the year while matching their season-high in goals scored with seven.
After an own goal got the scoring started, the Cyclones struck four more times before the half.
Flores scored twice sandwiched around a goal from
Rebecca Kopf at 28:02.
Alissandra Auletta picked up the assist on Kopf's tally.
Barber's first of the day at 42:24 capped the first half scoring.
Chelsea Estacio made two first half saves as Centenary took a 5-0 lead at the break.
The Cyclones tacked on two more second half goals as
Brelyn Cusano had a goal and Barber picked up her second of the day.
Centenary secured the 7-0 victory.
Estacio made two saves in the first 70 minutes of the action for the Cyclones.
Emma Ferfecki made two stops in relief action.
Madisson Ronn made 18 saves in the loss for Gwynedd Mercy.
Flores and Barber led the Cyclones with two goals each.
Centenary is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 22 when it hosts Immaculata at 1:30 p.m. The Cyclones will honor seniors
Jackie Epp, Cusano and Estacio prior to the start of that game.
