GLASSBORO, N.J. – Goalkeeper
Rachel Colt made 14 saves to lead the Centenary University women's soccer team in its season opener at Rowan University on Saturday afternoon.
Rowan took a 2-0 lead at the break and added four tallies in the second stanza for a 6-0 victory.
Colt was busy early as she made three saves in the early going of the contest.
Aidan Sheehan scored both first half goals to help the Profs jump out to the 2-0 advantage at the half.
Colt made nine saves in the first half for the Cyclones.
Frankie Ryan scored a pair of second half goals to lead the Rowan efforts as the home team posted the 6-0 win.
Bristol Pizzuto and
Calista Burke were not forced to make a save in the win for Rowan. Colt's 14 saves were the most by the goalkeeper since she had 20 against Stockton in 2018.
Chelsea Cordice played the final 11:26 in relief and did not have to make a save.
The Cyclones are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 8 when they travel to Purchase for a 6 p.m. contest.
