MADISON, N.J. – Freshman
Cassandra Ferguson scored a pair of goals to lead the Centenary University women's soccer team in a hard fought loss at Drew University on Tuesday evening.
Drew scored three times in the first half for the lead at the break.
Ayla Lopez was credited with two of the first three goals.
Centenary got on the board at 48:30 as Ferguson scored her second of the year.
The Rangers tacked on three more goals and took a 6-1 lead at 71:14.
Centenary was not done yet as Ferguson scored her second of the evening at the 72:46 mark and fellow freshman
Ashley D'Allesandro potted her second of the year at 81:05.
Both teams continued to push as Drew earned the 6-3 win.
Chelsea Cordice started the game and made seven saves for the Cyclones.
Chelsea Estacio appeared in relief work and made three stops.
Centenary is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 25 when it hosts NYU at 1 p.m.
