LA PLUME, Pa. –
Timothy Kaiser III and
Andrew Marchese combined for seven goals and two assists to lead the Centenary University men's lacrosse team to a 10-2 win at Keystone College on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
"I'm proud of the team's hard work resulting in a win," said head coach
Joe Lodato. "This young group is learning a lot this year and deserved it today."
For the Cyclones it was their first win since they beat Keystone on April 13, 2019.
All three first period goals belonged to the Cyclones as they took the 3-0 advantage after 15 minutes of play. Kaiser III had a goal and an assist in the period while Marchese and
Brandon Casey each found the back of the net.
The only goal of the second period belonged to Keystone as the Cyclones took a 3-1 lead at the half.
Centenary responded by scoring the first seven goals of the second half in a run that bridged the third and fourth quarters. Centenary led 10-1 with 3:19 to play, thanks to that run.
Kaiser III scored three times in that stretch and also added an assist. For the attacker, it was his second straight hat trick and third of the season. Marchese potted two goals during that run to complete his first career hat trick.
Keystone tacked on one goal late as the Cyclones earned the 10-2 win.
