Women's Soccer Tripped Up By Immaculata on the Road

MALVERN, Pa. – Senior Rachel Colt and junior Chelsea Estacio combined for seven saves but it was enough as the Centenary University women's soccer team was bested by Immaculata University, 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic East play.

The Mighty Macs struck first in this one as Bridget McDonough scored off a pass from Rachel McNamee in the eighth minute of the game.

Colt made three big stops for the Cyclones, including one just before the half to keep it a 1-0 game at the break.

Freshman Eve Haddad put a pair of shots on goal late in the first stanza but both were turned away by Immaculata keeper Brooke Shissler.

Immaculata tacked on goals from McNamee and Kelli Dombrowski in the second half to secure the 3-0 win.

Shissler made five saves to secure the win in goal for Immaculata. Colt finished with three saves in the first half for the Cyclones. Estacio made four stops in the second stanza.

Centenary returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 13 when it hosts Neumann at 3 p.m.  The Cyclones honor their five seniors – Colt, Jill Pullis, Ellie Roberts, Chelsea Cordice and Saralyn Thunell before the game.
