Davies Gets 200th Career Win As Women's Soccer Blanks Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Head coach Kevin Davies won his 200th career game as the Centenary University women's soccer team beat Rosemont College 5-0 on Wednesday evening.

Davies improved to 200-175-23 in 23 seasons on the Centenary bench.

"This was a good team performance but more importantly a good confidence booster," said Davies.

Centenary applied the pressure early in this contest, scoring three times in the first 10 minutes of the contest.

Freshman Eve Haddad scored her third goal of the season just 5:28 into the game. Fellow freshman Cassandra Ferguson picked up the assist on Haddad's tally.

Centenary took a 2-0 advantage at the 8:50 mark as Ferguson found the back of the net off a pass from senior Jill Pullis.

Just over a minute later, the Cyclones pushed their lead to 3-0 as sophomore Salma Eddahiri scored her fifth of the season on a pass from Ferguson.

Centenary carried that 3-0 advantage into the half as the Cyclones held a 12-2 advantage in shots and senior Rachel Colt was not forced to make a first half save for the Cyclones.

The Cyclones added to their lead in the second half with a pair of goals. Ferguson tallied her second of the night off a pass from senior Brelyn Cusano at 49:36.

Centenary capped the scoring at the 80-minute mark as graduate student Ellie Roberts scored off a pass from Eddahiri.

Centenary claimed the 5-0 victory.

Colt was not forced to make a save in the first half. Junior Chelsea Estacio made two saves in the second stanza. Emma Lindsay made seven saves in the loss for Rosemont.

Ferguson led Centenary with six points on two goals and two assists while Eddahiri had a goal and an assist.

Centenary is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 9 when it travels to Immaculata for an Atlantic East Conference contest at 1 p.m.
