Pinedo and Polizos Lead Men's Soccer in Tough Loss to Cabrini

RADNOR, Pa. – Senior Kenneth Pinedo scored his second goal of the season but Cabrini University used a 4-0 run to secure a 5-2 win over the Centenary University men's soccer team in Atlantic East Conference action on Tuesday night.

Cabrini got on the board first in this one as Nick LoBiondo scored just 1:01 into the contest.

Centenary answered back in the fifth minute as Pinedo scored off a pass from freshman Brandon Salmon.

Cabrini then scored the game's next four goals in a run that bridged the first and second halves of the game. Nick Booth had a pair of goals in that stretch that gave Cabrini a 4-1 lead in the 60th minute.

Centenary was able to one of those goals back in the 65th minute as senior Nik Polizos connected on his first goal of the year.

The Cyclones managed to get a couple more shots off after Polizos scored but where unable to connect and Cabrini claimed the 5-2 win.

MJ Graham made one save to earn the win in goal for Cabrini. Junior Andrew Tarkazikis made three saves in the loss for the Cyclones.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 9 when it hosts Immaculata at 1 p.m.
