Polizos Scores as Men's Soccer Falls at DeSales

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – DeSales University scored three times in the second half to secure a 3-1 come from behind win over the Centenary University men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon.

The Cyclones jumped out to an early lead in this one. In the 26th minute, senior Eric Nugent hit fellow senior Nik Polizos with a pass. Polizos punched it home for his second goal of the season and a 1-0 Centenary advantage.

Senior Paul LiTrenta made three saves in the first 45 minutes to help the visitors carry the 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

DeSales got the equalizer just into the second half as Dimeji Oyinkolade scored in the 51st minute.

The Bulldogs tacked on two more goals in the second stanza, including a second from Oyinkolade to secure the 3-1 win.

Nathan Hatzfeld made one save to earn the win in goal for DeSales. LiTrenta finished with four saves for the Cyclones.

Centenary is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 20 when it travels to Marymount for a 2 p.m. game.
