Hobbs' Hat Trick Helps Women's Soccer Power Past Rosemont, 7-0

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Senior Haley Hobbs tallied her first career hat trick to lift the Centenary University women's soccer team to a 7-0 win over Rosemont College in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opener for both squads.

The Cyclones have now won 16 straight CSAC regular season contests dating back to the 2017 season. The win also stretched Centenary's regular season shutout streak to over 800 minutes, that streak also carries back to the 2017 campaign.

The Cyclones wasted little time in getting on the board as sophomore Amanda Lebelt scored off a rebound at 4:26.

Centenary added to its lead just before the half as Hobbs scored her first of the day off a cross from senior Chloe Christopher.

The Cyclones carried that 2-0 lead into the half as freshman Chelsea Estacio made four first half stops to keep the Ravens off the board.

Hobbs scored the first two goals of the second half, which gave Centenary a 4-0 advantage in the 60th minute. Christopher picked up an assist on Hobbs' third goal of the day.

Christopher gave Centenary a 5-0 advantage as she scored off a pass from senior Stephanie Williams at 60:28.

Lebelt struck for her second of the day at 69:34 and gave the home team a 6-0 lead.

Christopher capped the scoring the Cyclones as she converted a penalty kick opportunity at 83:12.

Estacio made three second half saves to secure the 7-0 victory for Centenary.

Estacio finished with seven saves for the game to earn the win in goal. She posted her second shutout of the season. Emma Lindsay made seven saves in the loss for Rosemont.

Hobbs led Centenary with a career-high six points after scoring the three goals. Christopher also tallied six points on two goals and two assists while Lebelt had four points on the two scores.

The Cyclones are back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 1 as they travel to Clarks Summit for a 4 p.m. game.
