Women's Soccer Rolls to 9-0 Win at Clarks Summit

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Six different players scored at least one goal as the Centenary University women's soccer team rolled to a 9-0 win at Clarks Summit University in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cyclones got on the board at the 12:30 mark as senior Haley Hobbs scored off a pass from fellow senior Raeanna Cope.

Centenary pushed its lead to 2-0 as senior Chloe Christopher knocked one home at 14:32. Senior Stephanie Williams picked up the helper on Christopher's tally.

Sophomore Amanda Lebelt gave the Cyclones a 3-0 advantage as she drew the goalkeeper out and went around her for the goal at 19:12.

Hobbs and Christopher each struck for their second goal of the day and extended the Centenary advantage to 5-0. The tallies from the seniors were separated by just 15 seconds. Junior Jill Pullis picked up her first point as a Cyclone with the assist on Hobbs' score.

The Cyclones eventually took a 7-0 lead at the half. Junior Karleigh Noll scored her first goal as a Cyclone off a pass from Cope in the first half.

Freshman Chelsea Estacio stopped the only two shots she faced in the first 45 minutes of play.

Centenary tacked on two second half tallies en route to the 9-0 victory. Junior Ellie Roberts scored her first goal as a Cyclone while sophomore Saralyn Thunell struck for her first career goal.

Estacio made one second half save and finished with three saves for her third shutout of the season. Lauryn Brown started the game in goal for Clarks Summit and made three saves. Lillian Kettlewell made three saves in the second half in relief.

Hobbs finished with two goals and now has five goals in her last two contests for the Cyclones. Christopher contributed two goals and now has four goals and two assists since CSAC play began. Cope and Lebelt each registered two points for the Cyclones. Cope's came on a pair of assists while Lebelt scored her third goal in the last two games.

The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 5 when they host Keystone at 1 p.m.
