HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Junior
Tom Parry tallied a pair of goals to lead the Centenary University men's soccer team in a hard fought 3-2 loss to FDU Florham on Saturday afternoon.
The visitors struck first in this one as
Ricky La Stella carried a ball into the box and scored at 16:25.
Centenary tied the game at 1-1 at 32:30 as Parry picked off a pass as the Devils were trying to clear the ball from their own end and tucked it into the near corner of the net.
FDU-Florham scored twice before the end of the half and took a 3-1 lead at the break.

Michael Rosario.
The Cyclones pulled to within one just over two minutes into the second half. Sophomore
Joseph Ertl played a long ball into the box that Parry was able to poke home.
Centenary continued to try and score the game-tying goal as Parry had a penalty kick opportunity in the 64th minute but Devils' goalkeeper
Tiernan Gray was able to make the stop.
The two teams battled hard on both ends of the field for the remainder of the game but FDU-Florham was able to hold off the Cyclones for the 3-2 win.
Gray finished with eight saves as he earned the win in goal for the Devils. Sophomore
Will Hodic made four saves, all of which came after the half for the Cyclones.
The Cyclones are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 25 when they travel to King's for a 4 p.m. game.
