MONTCLAIR, N.J. – Sophomore
Besnik Hadzovic scored his first goal of the season as the Centenary University men's soccer team fell at Montclair State University, 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
Montclair State struck first in the game as
Nixon Soglo scored at 15:35 mark.
Centenary got the equalizer at 25:23 as Hadzovic scored off a nice pass from fellow sophomore
Stephen Zuluaga.
The Red Hawks went back on top, 2-1 as
Oscar Sanchez scored at 29:47.
Montclair State maintained that 2-1 lead as the half as sophomore
Will Hodic made three first half saves for the Cyclones.
A pair of second half goals from
Collin Mulligan and
Justin Goldberg proved to be all the second half offense as Montclair State earned the 4-1 win.
Michael Mejia made one save to earn the win in goal for the Red Hawks. Hodic made six second half saves and finished with a career-high nine stops for the Cyclones.
The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 21 when they host FDU Florham at 1 p.m.
