BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Senior
Renee Hack made a career-high 23 saves, including the 500th of her career, to lead the Centenary University women's lacrosse team in an 18-0 loss to Bryn Athyn College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play on Saturday afternoon.
Hack reached her career milestone with her 11th of the game, which came with 8:01 to play in the first half. Already the career saves leader at Centenary, the senior ranks among the top 15 active Division III players for saves.
In addition, Hack's 23 saves rank second in single-game history at Centenary.
Bryn Athyn jumped out to an 8-0 halftime advantage as
Bri Lennox scored three times in the first 30 minutes.
Lennox scored two more times in the second half while
Tina Tu had three goals and two assists in the second period.
Sarah Smith had one save in the win for Bryn Athyn. Hack made 12 saves in the first half and 11 in the second stanza for the Cyclones.
Tu finished with four goals, two assists and 10 ground balls for Bryn Athyn while
Payton Gormley finished with three goals, three assists and two caused turnovers.
Junior
Kaylee Bennett had four ground balls and a caused turnover for the Cyclones.
Centenary is back in action when it travels to Rosemont on Wednesday, April 10 for a 7 p.m. game.
