LA PLUME, Pa. – Sophomore
Sydney D'Ortone scored a pair of goals to lead the Centenary University women's lacrosse team against Keystone College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Tuesday afternoon.
The Giants jumped out to an 11-1 halftime advantage and went on to claim the 17-2 victory.
April Llewellyn had four first half goals for Keystone while
Savanna Robinson struck for three goals.
D'Ortone got the Cyclones on the board with 3:53 remaining in the first half.
Alex Smith had a pair of second half goals to lead the home team.
D'Ortone struck for her second of the day at the 4:50 mark of the second half.
Kali Kishter made three saves in the win for Keystone. Senior
Renee Hack recorded 20 saves in the loss for the Cyclones. Hack also contributed six ground balls and five caused turnovers.
Llewellyn, Smith and Robinson each had four goals and one assist for the Giants.
D'Ortone had two goals and three draw controls for the Cyclones.
The Cyclones are back in action on Thursday, April 18 when they travel to Notre Dame (Md.) for a 4 p.m. start.
