FLEMINGTON, N.J. – Senior
Ryan Jasiecki recorded multiple RBIs in each game to lead the Centenary University baseball team to a doubleheader sweep of Penn State Brandywine on Wednesday at Diamond Nation.
In game one, the Cyclones jumped out to an early 5-0 advantage and claimed an 8-1 victory. Centenary scored 11 runs in the third inning of game two to break a 2-2 tie and secured a 13-4 victory.
Game One Recap (Centenary Won 8-1)
The Cyclones wasted little time getting on the board as they scored three runs in the bottom of the first. Jasiecki lifted a sac fly to right field that scored junior
Jon Fleck who had walked earlier in the frame. Sophomore
Joe Saffioti's RBI double to center plated freshman

Jonathan Pezzato drew a bases loaded walk that forced in freshman
Paul Links with another run.
Centenary added to its lead in the second as Jasiecki reached on a fielder's choice and Fleck scored on the play. Links then drove a ball down the right field line for a triple that scored Jasiecki as the Cyclones took a 5-0 lead.
Brandywine broke through with a run in the top of the sixth as
Sean Donahue had an RBI single.
The Cyclones added to their lead in the bottom half of the sixth as Fleck hit a two-run home run to right field before Links had an RBI groundout.

Jared Miller secured the 8-1 win for Centenary.
The Cyclones used five pitchers on the day with junior
Nick Scotto picking up the win. Scotto tossed the first two innings and allowed one hit with one strikeout.
Nick Petrella took the loss for Brandywine after going five innings and giving up five runs on six hits.
Fleck was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs out of the leadoff spot for the Cyclones. Jasiecki and Links each contributed a hit and two RBIs while Gass had two hits.
Nick Wright had two hits and a run scored for Penn State Brandywine.
Game Two Recap (Centenary Won 13-4)
The Cyclones jumped out to an early lead in game two with a run in the bottom of the first and another in the bottom of the second. Gass and junior
Chris Miller had RBI groundouts for the Cyclones.
Brandywine tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the third.
Joe Hurley had a two-run double down the right field line for the visitors.
Centenary exploded for 11 runs and a 13-2 lead in the bottom of the third as the home team sent 16 batters to the plate. The big blows in the inning came from Jasiecki, who had a two-run triple and picked up another RBI with a sac fly, and junior
Cole Fratesi who plated two runs with a double to left center.
Brandywine was able to score single runs in the top of the sixth and the top of the seventh but that was it as Centenary claimed the 13-4 win.
Centenary used seven pitchers in the game as senior
JT Valley earned the win with 1.1 innings of scoreless relief work. Fellow senior
Stephen Fedak picked up a big strikeout to close out the game.
Chris Edwards took the loss for Brandywine as he surrendered 10 runs on eight hits in two plus innings of work.
Fratesi was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored while Jasiecki went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored. Links and Gass each contributed two hits and two RBIs while Fleck scored three runs.
Wright had a hit and two runs scored for Penn State Brandywine in game two.
The Cyclones will be back in action on Friday, April 12 when they host Valley Forge at 3 p.m. at Diamond Nation.
