HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Junior
Chris Howell won 14 faceoffs and collected 10 ground balls in the Centenary University men's lacrosse team's 13-4 loss to Bryn Athyn College on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play.
Bryn Athyn jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a pair of goals from
Cameron Leech.
The Cyclones got on the board with sophomore
Kyle Mott's man-up goal at 10:02.
The Lions scored three straight goals and took a 5-1 lead with 10:12 to go in the second period.
Sophomore
Nick Biango halted the Bryn Athyn with his first goal of the day off a pass from Mott at 6:43, which made it a 5-2 game.
Bryn Athyn went on a 7-0 run that encompassed the remainder of the second period and the third period and took a 12-2 lead in the game.
Sophomore
Timothy Kaiser III broke up the Lions' run with a goal at 8:48 of the fourth quarter. Kaiser III's goal came off a pass from Mott.
Bryn Athyn took a 13-3 lead with a goal at the 6:38 mark.
Biango struck for his second of the day at 1:05 to cap the scoring as Bryn Athyn claimed the 13-4 win.
Brad DePasquale made 12 saves to earn the win in goal for the Lions. Sophomore
Ryan Lacamera finished with eight saves for the Cyclones.
Leech led Bryn Athyn with five goals and one assist while
James Vandegrift had three goals and three assists.
Mott finished with a goal and two assists for the Cyclones while Biango tallied two goals.
The Cyclones are off until Wednesday, April 10 when they travel to Kean for a 7 p.m. game.
