Lacamera and Bernath Lead Men's Lacrosse in Loss to Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Sophomore Ryan Lacamera matched his career-high with 14 saves and sophomore Shea Bernath scored his first career goal as the Centenary University men's lacrosse team fell to Rosemont College 12-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opener for both squads.

Rosemont struck first with a goal from Brandon Krausse.

Centenary responded with back-to-back tallies from Bernath and a goal from sophomore Kyle Mott. Mott's goal came at 11:33 of the first period and gave the Cyclones a 2-1 lead.

Dylan Hummel scored at 8:33 for Rosemont to tie the game at 2-2. That goal also kick started a 7-0 run that gave the Ravens an 8-2 lead with 1:12 to go in the third quarter. Hummel scored three times during that scoring stretch and also assisted on a pair of goals.

Sophomore Nick Biango snapped the Rosemont scoring streak with his ninth goal of the season. Biango's goal came with 11 seconds to play in the third quarter.

Mott opened the fourth quarter scoring with his second goal of the day and 10th of the season for the Cyclones. That made it a 9-4 game with 13:23 to play.

Rosemont scored the final four goals of the day and claimed the 12-4 win.

Mark Porter made eight saves to earn the win in goal for the Ravens. Lacamera made six of his 14 saves in the fourth quarter for the Cyclones.

Hummel led Rosemont with four goals and two assists for six points. Krausse added three goals and an assist for the Ravens.

Mott led Centenary with two goals while Bernath had the goal and two ground balls. Junior Chris Howell won 14-of-16 faceoffs and scooped up 11 ground balls. Junior Patrick Fitzgerald led the defensive efforts with two caused turnovers and five ground balls.

The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, March 30 as they host Bryn Athyn at 12 p.m.
