Women's Soccer Beats the College of Saint Elizabeth to Extend Win Streak

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Seniors Stephanie Williams and Chloe Christopher each scored two goals to lead the Centenary University women's soccer team to an 8-0 win over the College of Saint Elizabeth in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play on Wednesday afternoon.

The Cyclones got off to a quick start in this one as senior Haley Hobbs' sixth goal of the season gave the home team a 1-0 lead at 4:53.

Christopher struck for her first goal of the day at 39:29 off a pass from sophomore Amanda Lebelt.

Freshman Chelsea Estacio made the only save of the game she needed to in the first half as the Cyclones took a 2-0 lead at the break.

The Cyclones scored three goals in a five-minute span to extend their lead to 5-0 at the 60:19 mark. Christopher scored the first goal in that stretch off a pass from Williams. Christopher then picked up the helpers on Lebelt and Williams' goals.

Centenary continued to add to its lead as Williams scored her second of the day at 78:01.

Junior Jill Pullis scored her first of the year at 81:18 before junior Karleigh Noll capped the scoring with her third tally of the season at 89:12.

Centenary extended its win streak to four straight with the 8-0 victory. The Cyclone defense limited the College of Saint Elizabeth to one shot in the contest.

Estactio made the one save to record her fourth straight shutout and fifth of the season. Haley Baron made 17 saves in the loss for the College of Saint Elizabeth.

The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 12 when they travel to Wilson for a 1 p.m. game.
