Noll's Pair Lifts Women's Soccer Over Cairn on Senior Day

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - On a day where the seniors were celebrated prior to the start of the game, it was junior Karleigh Noll who scored the game's only two goals and lifted the Centenary University women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Cairn University on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play.

The Cyclones honored seniors Victoria Speakman, Raeanna Cope, Chloe Christopher, Stephanie Williams, Haley Hobbs, Summer Hughes-Fissel, Justine Stefura and Brittany Gray before the start of the game.

The first half was a back-and-forth battle as both teams fought for their opportunities. The two teams combined for 11 shots in the first 45 minutes but neither side was able to find the back-of-the-net.

Freshman Chelsea Estacio made one first half save while Sara Hayduchok made seven stops for the Highlanders.

Centenary finally broke through in the scoring column at 56:30 as junior Jill Pullis played a long ball into the box. Noll was able to control the ball and poked it home for a 1-0 lead for the home team.

Noll and Pullis connected again on a similar play at 60:11 and that goal gave Centenary a 2-0 advantage.

Cairn got off a shot after the second Cyclone goal but Estacio stopped it and Centenary claimed the 2-0 win.

Estacio made three saves in the game to earn the win and recorded her seventh shutout of the season. Her seven shutouts are tied for fourth in single-season history at Centenary. Hayduchok finished with 11 saves for the Highlanders.

Centenary is back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 22 when it travels to Cedar Crest for a 7 p.m. game. It will be a battle of the top two teams in the CSAC standings as both teams boast 6-0 marks in conference play.
