GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – Junior
Kristin Karszen and freshman
Sydney D'Ortone scored for the Centenary University women's lacrosse team in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest at Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday night.
The Griffins scored 13 first half goals and added seven more in the second half to secure the 20-2 win over the Cyclones.

Samantha Brown,
Lauren Mitros and
Victoria Braeunle each scored two goals for Gwynedd Mercy in the first 20 minutes of the game.
Karszen got the Cyclones on the board with a goal at 2:29 as she curled around the back of the net and snuck a high shot over the shoulder of the Griffins' goalkeeper.
Gwynedd Mercy scored one more time before the first half ended and led 13-1 at the break.
The Griffins scored the first six goals of the second half before D'Ortone struck for her second goal of the season.
A goal in the final 33 seconds of the game gave Gwynedd Mercy the 20-2 win.
Nicole Wood made two saves to earn the win in goal for the Griffins. Junior
Renee Hack finished with 10 saves in the loss for the Cyclones.
Tomsic led the Griffins with five goals and one assist while Braeunle finished with three goals and four assists.
In addition to her goal Karszen finished with two ground balls, a draw control and a caused turnover. D'Ortone had a goal and two draw controls.
The Cyclones are back in action when they visit Bryn Mawr on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m.
