BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Seniors
Taylor Heverly and
Erika Bath along with junior
Kristin Karszen scored for the Centenary University women's lacrosse team on Saturday morning in a nonconference contest at Bryn Mawr.
Bryn Mawr got five goals apiece from
Maeve Donnelly and
Kylie Woo to claim an 18-3 win over the Cyclones.
Donnelly and Woo each struck for three first half goals as the Owls built an 11-2 lead at the half.
The Cyclones struck for back-to-back goals for the first time this season. Karszen scored her third of the season at 10:18 on a free position goal and Heverly scored her first career goal at 9:55.
Bryn Mawr scored the first six goals of the second half and held a 17-2 lead with 12:09 to play.
Bath broke through for her first goal as a Cyclone at 10:04 of the second half.
Bryn Mawr added one final goal in the last eight minutes for the 18-3 victory.
Claire Hampton made 11 saves to earn the win in goal for the Owls. Junior
Renee Hack made eight saves in the loss for the Cyclones.
The Cyclones took a season-high 21 shots in the game. The two teams were fairly evenly matched on the draw as Bryn Mawr won 13 and the Cyclones corralled 10 draws.
Donnelly led Bryn Mawr with five goals and two assists for seven points while Woo finished with the five tallies as well.
Karszen had a solid all-around game for the Cyclones. In addition to her goal she contributed a game-high five draw controls, seven ground balls and four caused turnovers. Heverly had two caused turnovers and three ground balls while Bath added two draw controls and a caused turnover.
The Cyclones are back in action on Wednesday, April 4 when they travel to Marywood for a 7 p.m. game.
