LA PLUME, Pa. – Senior
Devon Warne made eight saves as the Centenary University men's soccer team suffered a 5-0 setback at Keystone College on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
The Giants struck first in the contest as
Daniel Zuniga scored at 6:14. The goal was assisted by
Carlos Bonilla and
Khadim Thiam.
Keystone struck two more times before the half as Bonilla scored before Zuniga added his second of the day.
The Giants carried a 3-0 lead into the half despite four saves from Warne. Senior
Josh Weiss had a pair of first half shots for the Cyclones.
Keystone tacked on a pair of second half goals.
Jaylen Walters and
Chiemeka Okoro each found the back of the net for the Giants during the second stanza.
Senior
Jared Miele had a pair of second half shots for the Cyclones.
Keystone held the Cyclones off the board in the second half and claimed the 5-0 victory.
Erik Gomez made three saves to earn the win in goal for the Cyclones. Warne made four second half saves to finish the game with eight. Freshman
Will Hodic played the final 10:07 in goal for the Cyclones and made a pair of saves.
The Cyclones are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 17 when they travel to Bryn Athyn for a 7 p.m. game.
