HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Apr. 19, 2017)- Senior
Luke Tremont (Vernon, N.J. / Vernon Township) scored two goals as the Centenary University men's lacrosse team rallied from a first half deficit to defeat Immaculata University, 7-4 on Senior Day.
Sophomore
Chris Snow (Roxbury, N.J. / Roxbury) totaled four points on three assists and one goal for the Cyclones who improve to 6-5 overall and 3-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Mike Reardon scored two goals for the Mighty Macs who fall to 3-9 overall and 2-3 in the CSAC.
Senior
Michael Balsamo (Jackson, N.J. / Jackson Memorial) helped the Cyclones even the game at 1-1 late in the first quarter, after the Macs led for most of the opening quarter with a goal by Brian Shultis at the 12:10 mark. The score would be deadlocked at 1-1 into halftime.
Centenary rallied in the second half after Immaculata opened the third quarter with two goals for a 3-1 advantage with 6:01 remaining. The Cyclones responded with three unanswered goals in the final six minutes of the third to take their first lead of the game at 4-3. Snow assisted scores by Tremont and freshman

Michael Muff (Havertown, Pa. / Haverford) notched his second assist of the afternoon on fellow classmate
Nolan Gottshall (Toms River, N.J. / Toms River East) game tying goal with 4:03 remaining.
The Mighty Macs evened the game at 4-4 to start the final quarter, when Reardon scored off an assist from Ethan Johnson. Tremont would put Centenary back on top, less than two minutes later as he scored the eventually go-ahead goal with 11:21 remaining. Centenary scored two insurance goals in the final 11 minutes of the contest, as Snow assisted on a score by Muff and netted the final goal of the afternoon with 2:40 remaining.
Despite a close game, the Cyclones edged the Macs on shots, shots on goal, turnovers, caused turnovers, clears, groundballs and faceoffs.
Gottshall added eight groundballs and three caused turnovers, while freshman
Chris Howell (Bear, Del. / Delaware Military Academy) went 14-for-15 on faceoffs and recorded nine groundballs. Junior
Spencer Stachowiak (Bel Air, Md. / Bel Air) finished with four groundballs and four caused turnovers, while both junior
Nick Fox (Dresher, Pa. / LaSalle College) and freshman
Nick Bogert (Islip Terrace, N.Y. / St. John the Baptist) tallied two groundballs and two caused turnovers. Tremont, Muff, and junior
Kyle Purcell each totaled four groundballs apiece. Sophomore
Chris Cameron (Waldwick, N.J. / Waldwick) made eight saves in 60 minutes of work between the pipes.
Denton States made 15 saves for the Macs in the loss.
After the game, Coach Klank and his staff honored Tremont, Balsamo and
Alex Samilow (Annandale, N.J. / North Hunterdon) for their hardwork and dedication over the last few years.
