HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. The Cyclones improve to 8-16 overall and 6-6 in the CSAC, while the Knights improve to 15-9 overall and 11-1 in the CSAC.

Sammie Darling (Succasunna, N.J. / Roxbury) and freshman
Juli Wright (Colonia, N.J. / Colonia) recorded a hit as the Cyclones scattered four hits over seven innings in the shutout loss.
Neumann scored five runs on 12 hits, including three runs in the top of the first and two in bottom of seventh. Haley Broomell dominated the Cyclones from the circle striking out six batters in the complete game victory.
Darling and Wright each recorded a hit in the fourth, but let the opportunity get away when they hit into a double play and a line out to end the inning. Â
GAME 2: Centenary 2, Neumann 1
Junior
Carolyn Clites (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. / Hasbrouck Heights), Wright and sophomore
Amanda Fox (Unionville, Conn. / Farmington) each recorded a hit as the Cyclones rallied with two runs in the seventh to knock off the previously undefeated Knights in the game two victory.
Despite Neumann posting double-digits in the hit column, the Knights couldn't get a run across the plate until the sixth inning when Kendall Broadman drove in an RBI. The Cyclones trailed 1-0 entering the bottom of seventh.
Clites led off the bottom half of the inning with a single that allowed her to advance to second and third on an error by the Knights right fielder. After Darling walked, Wright came to the plate with runners at first and third. Wright attempted a squeeze play that paid off as Clites scored and Darling advanced to third on fielding error by the Knights catcher. Centenary would bring home the winning run on the very next batter, when freshman
Jessica Hewitt (Waretown, N.J. / Southern Regional) reached on a fielder choice and Darling was called safe at home.
Hewitt improved to 4-8 overall with two strikeouts and one earned run in the victory for the Cyclones. Â Â
