HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Sept. 7, 2016)- Sophomore Giani Montalvo (Elizabeth, N.J. / Elizabeth) recorded nine digs and four kills, as the Centenary University volleyball team dropped its home opener to Kings College, 3-0 on Wednesday evening.

Nicole McQuillan recorded six kills and five blocks for the Monarchs who improve to 3-1 overall. Sophomore Ashley Bierbaum (Hackettstown, N.J. / Hackettstown) posted nine digs for the Cyclones who fall to 0-5 overall.

Sophomore Zoey Woody (North Brunswick, N.J. / North Brunswick) recorded six assists and two aces, fellow classmate Krysta Astengo (Clifton, N.J. / Clifton) added seven digs and two kills. Julie Kollar finished with 20 assists, while Kristen Bohnenblusch added 11 digs and five aces.

Head Coach Kelsey Walter and the Cyclones will return to action in Abington, Pa. on Saturday, Sept. 10 in a Tri-match against the Griffins of Gwynedd-Mercy and the Nittany Lions of PSU-Abington, starting at 12:00 p.m.
