HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Sept. 7, 2016)- Three different Cyclones netted a goal, as the Centenary University men's soccer team recorded its first win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Stockton University on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior
Kevin Brix (Monroe Township, N.J. / Monroe Township) scored the game-winner for the Cyclones who improve to 1-1 overall. Anthony Colofranson scored a goal and recorded a game-high eight shots for the Ospreys who fell to 1-2 overall.
The Ospreys actually edged the Cyclones in shots (14-9) and shots on goal (5-4). Centenary did more with less opportunities at the net.
Brix netted his game-winner off a throw-in from junior
Bryan Mason (Belvidere, N.J. / Belvidere) in the 7
th minute. Centenary held a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Centenary stretched their lead to 2-0 with a goal from sophomore
Roger Fernandez (Succcasunna, N.J. / Roxbury) off a feed from junior
Justin White (Minehill, N.J. / Dover) in the 73
rd minute. After Stockton responded with a score from Colofranson in the 77
th minute, junior
Richy Castro (Landing, N.J. / Roxbury) scored an insurance goal in the 86
th minute.
Sophomore
Devon Warne (Belvidere, N.J. / Belvidere) made four saves in his first career victory in net. Castro recorded three shots, while senior
Luis Marin (Union City, N.J. / Union Hill) posted two shots for the Cyclones. Justin Ruiz took two shots, while Chris Giraudin recorded a save for Stockton.

Keith O'Connor and the Cyclones will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 10, against the Royals of the University of Scranton at 3:00 p.m.
