Women’s Soccer Blanked by Stockton

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Sept. 3, 2016)- Three first half goals proved to be the difference as the Centenary University women's soccer team was shutout by Stockton University, 3-0. Adrianna Boucher assisted on two goals and scored one for the Ospreys who improve to 2-0 overall. Junior Emily Pizzuto (Flemington, N.J. / Hunterdon Central) totaled two shots for the Cyclones, who improve to 1-1 overall.

Stockton scored goals in the 14th, 27th and 43rd minutes of the first half and didn't looked back. Centenary only managed to record three shots including two from Pizzuto and one from sophomore Amanda Benoit (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan).

Junior Kaitlin Marold (Edison, N.J. / Edison) and freshman Justine Stefura (Port Reading, N.J. / WoodBridge) combined for four saves. Jill DiBlasi and Sara Beenders each recorded three shots apiece for the Ospreys.

Head Coach Kevin Davies and the Cyclones will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 7 in Wayne, N.J. against the Pioneers of William Paterson University at 7:30 p.m.
