Denzel Thompson (Montclair, N.J. / Montclair) scored two goals as the Centenary College men's lacrosse team fell to No. 16 Cabrini College, 25-5.
Ethan Heisman scored five goals for the Cavaliers who improve to 11-4 overall and 6-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Senior
Joey DeBiasse (Long Valley, N.J. / West Morris Central), along with juniors
Michael Balsamo (Jackson, N.J. / Jackson Memorial) and
Nolan Gottshall (Toms River, N.J. / Toms River East), each scored a goal for the Cyclones who fall to 8-5 overall and 4-2 in the CSAC.
Thompson scored both of his goals in the first half, as Cabrini scored 11 unanswered to hold a 15-3 lead at halftime.
Balsamo and Gottshall netted their goals in the fourth quarter as the Cavaliers maintained a 19-5 advantage.
Cabrini outshot Centenary 68-21, including posting double digits shots in each quarter. Senior
Kevin Switzer (Hillsdale, N.J. / Pascack Valley) made 17 saves as the Cyclones edged the Cavaliers in saves 17-5.

James Iwanicki (Gloucester, Mass. / Ipswich) all recorded three groundballs each.
