IMMACULATA, Pa. (Mar. 31, 2016)– On Thursday afternoon, the Centenary College baseball team dropped the first of a three-game series to the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University by the score of 8-4.
Immaculata got out to a quick lead in the bottom of the first, with three runs off three hits.
After two scoreless innings, the Cyclones got on the board in the top of the fourth, with freshman
Casey Brown (Easton, Pa. / Easton Area) hitting an RBI single with the bases loaded, which drove in junior
Nick Daniele (Colts Neck, N.J. / Red Bank Catholic). The bases remained loaded for senior
Chris Ohlweiler (Verona, N.J. / Verona), who smacked a single into left field, to bring in sophomore
Kevin Sensale (Bartonsville, Pa. / Pocono Mountain East) and pull Centenary to within a run at 3-2
Immaculata repeated what they did in the first by adding on another three runs too extend their lead to 8-3. Brown homered in the eighth to get a run back, but the Cyclones couldn't get anything else going against Immaculata's pitching.
