Joey DeBiasse (Long Valley, N.J. / West Morris Central) netted a hat-trick as the Centenary College men's lacrosse team rallied to a 9-6 victory over Drew University on Tuesday evening.
Senior
Trevor Krupinski (Lincoln Park, N.J. / Boonton) and junior
Michael Balsamo (Jackson, N.J. / Jackson Memorial) each scored two goals apiece for the Cyclones who improve to 4-3 overall. Tom Cotroneo scored two goals for the Rangers who fall to 1-5 overall.
Cotroneo was the main catalyst behind the Rangers taking a 3-1 lead early in the second quarter. DeBiasse responded for Centenary with two unassisted goals to even the game at 3-3 with 4:53 remaining in the second quarter. Drew was able to maintain the lead going into halftime, as Ryan D'Alessandro netted a man-up goal with 36 seconds remaining to propel the Rangers to a 4-3 halftime advantage.
In the second half, Centenary scored four unanswered goals and took the lead at 7-4 with 13:50 remaining in the fourth quarter. Drew attempted to climb back into the contest with a goal at the 10:50 mark, but back-to-back goals from DeBiasse and Balsamo closed the door on any comeback by the Rangers.
Sophomore
James Iwanicki (Gloucester, Mass. / Ipswich) scooped up four groundballs, while freshman
Jon Howell (Bear, Del. / Delaware Military Academy) recorded two caused turnovers. Senior
Kevin Switzer (Hillsdale, N.J. / Pascack Valley) finished with 15 saves in 60 minutes of work between the pipes.

Matthew Klank and the Cyclones will return to action on Wednesday, Mar. 30, hosting the Ravens of Rosemont College in their CSAC opener at 4:00 p.m.
