Ryan Kanner (Jackson, N.J. / Jackson Memorial) went 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Centenary College baseball team fell to Swarthmore College, 10-2 at Diamond Nation on Tuesday afternoon. The Garnets improve to 3-0, while the Cyclones fall to 0-3
After falling behind 1-0, Centenary evened the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the first with sophomore
John Tierney (West Milford, N.J. / West Milford) scoring on a throwing error by the catcher. The game didn't remain deadlocked for long as the Garnets took a 4-1 lead in the third on a Joseph Jackson two run homer.
Swarthmore extended their lead to 8-1 with a three RBI double to left center in the fourth. Centenary would get at least one back in the fifth as Kanner singled up the middle to score fellow classmate
Nick Koffel (Perkiomenville, Pa. / Perkiomen Valley). Ryan Burnett went 2-for-4 with four RBI's and a run scored, while Griffin Kramerer recorded the victory and sophomore
James Graziani (Martinsville, NJ / Bridgewater – Raritan) recorded the loss.
