ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Mar. 15, 2016)- Head Coach Julie Moir recorded her first career coaching victory, as the Centenary College women's lacrosse team opened the CSAC slate with a 16-5 victory over Cedar Crest.

Senior Carlie Schmitt (Stewartstown, Pa. / Kennard-Dale) scored five goals and scooped up five groundballs for the Cyclones, who improve to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Vivianna Samite netted a hat-trick for the Falcons, who fall to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the CSAC.

The Cyclones jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the blink of an eye, as senior Devin Sutko (Cinnaminson, N.J. / Cinnaminson) totaled seven points on four assists and three goals in the first half. Sutko was joined by fellow classmate Abby Voelkner (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls), who scored all four of her goals in the first half and Centenary remained well in control with the 12-2 halftime lead.

In the second half, Centenary increased their lead to 15-2, before the Falcons responded with three unanswered goals but Centenary was able to maintain running clock with the 10 goal advantage for the rest of the contest.

Senior Kristen Rabenstein (Spring Grove, Pa. / Spring Grove) netted a goal in each half, while adding six groundballs and four draw controls.  Voelkner finished with six points on four goals and two assists, while adding seven draw controls and five groundballs. Freshman Renee Hack (Old Bridge, N.J. / Bishop George Ahr) picked up her first victory in goal with four saves in 60 minutes of work.

Coach Moir and the Cyclones will return to action in Aston, Pa. on Saturday, Mar. 19 against the Knights of Neumann University at 11:00 a.m.
