HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Mar. 10, 2016)- Seniors
Carlie Schmitt (Stewartstown, Pa. / Kennard-Dale) and
Devin Sutko (Cinnaminson, N.J. / Cinnaminson) combined for seven goals as the Centenary College women's lacrosse team dropped their home opener to Manhattanville College, 18-9.
Sarah Dalsey finished with seven goals and one assist for the Valiants who improve to 1-1 overall. Sutko added two assists and a groundball for the Cyclones, who fall to 0-2 overall.

Kristen Rabenstein (Spring Grove, Pa. / Spring Grove) and junior
Abby Voelkner (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) each scored a goal in the first four minutes as Centenary only trailed 4-3 with 16:51 remaining. Manhattanville responded with seven unanswered goals in the final 15 minutes of the first half, as the Valiants held an 11-3 advantage at halftime.
In the second half, Sutko and Schmitt scored all six goals for Centenary as Manhattanville just built on the halftime advantage.
Rabenstein was all over the field with five draw controls, four groundballs and three caused turnovers, while junior
Priscilla Ortiz (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) recorded an assist and three draw controls. Freshman
Renee Hack (Old Bridge, N.J. / Bishop George Ahr) made 14 saves in 60 minutes, while Lauren Cassidy played 36:05 and recorded the decision.
