Zachary Duymich (Millstone Township, N.J. / Allentown) and sophomore
Myles McLeod (Teaneck, N.J. / Teaneck) both scored 17 points apiece as the Centenary College men's basketball team fell to Keystone College on Senior Night.
Devin Williams scored 27 points for the Giants who improve to 5-19 overall and 5-12 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Senior
Anthony Bailey (Florida, N.Y. / SS Seward) pulled down 11 rebounds and scored six points as the Cyclones fell to 13-11 overall and 9-8 in the CSAC.
Centenary and Keystone went toe-to-toe in the first half, as both teams were deadlocked seven different times. The Giants stayed within striking distance from downtown, as three triples in a row sparked an 11-4 run that gave them a 29-23 advantage with 4:33 remaining. The Cyclones answered with McLeod scoring eight of his 12 first half points during a 13-4 run that gave them a 36-33 halftime lead.
In the second half, Centenary went on a 6-0 run in the opening three minutes to take their largest lead of the game at 42-33 with 17:52 remaining. Keystone torched the nets in the second half, shooting 54.3% from the field and erasing the Cyclones advantage.
Centenary took a 63-62 lead after Spencer converted on back-to-back fastbreak layups. Keystone responded with an 18-4 run in the final 5:52 to take their largest lead of the game.
