McLeod and Spencer Combine for 21 points as Men’s Basketball Falls to Rosemont

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Jan. 27, 2016) – On Wednesday evening, the Centenary College men's basketball team dropped a tough 87-70 loss to the Ravens of Rosemont.

It was an even game through the first five minutes with Centenary taking an 11-9 lead at the 15:38 mark. The game didn't remain close for long as Rosemont doubled their lead on a couple of three-balls from Khai Roberts, which gave them a commanding 48-27 lead heading into halftime.

The Cyclones tried to battle back in the second half, but Marcus Thomas wouldn't have any of it, as he led all scorers with 28 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Centenary got the Rosemont lead down to 17, before the Ravens went on another run to put them back up by 28 points with 14 minutes remaining.

Sophomore Myles McLeod (Teaneck, N.J. / Teaneck) finished with 11 points, while fellow classmate Rashaan Spencer (Hackettstown, N.J. / Mount Olive) knocked in 10.

Head Coach Tim Fusina and the Cyclones will now head on the road for three games starting with rival Immaculata on Jan. 30 at 3:00 p.m.
